Pastor Julian

Julian is a husband, father, writer, artist, and storyteller. He also serves as the Lead Pastor and Creative Architect of a growing community of believers at Renaissance Church located in the greater Sacramento region in California. Julian has a passion for creativity, innovation, leadership, outreach and evangelism, mentoring, the arts, reading and teaching the bible. He’s known for his unique story telling in communicating God’s truth. His passion and hunger to press into the Father’s heart is inspirational.

Fifteen years of wide ranging ministry experience, serving as a leader inside and outside the Christian community, speaking in schools, universities, law firms, organizational leadership teams, community leaders and others. Julian is a visionary leader, passionate communicator and Bible teacher with a love for the arts, using story telling, poetry, currents events, and/or a good laugh to challenge the status quo when he speaks and leads. He believes that followers of Christ should be, “…the most uniquely passionate, creative carriers of hope, to a world that is desperate for Jesus.”

Julian received his ministerial degree from Capital Bible College in Sacramento, CA and his Ordination through the Assemblies of God. He attended Cornerstone University and completed a nine month community leadership program designed to connect leaders (ranging from business, non-profits and government) empowering participants with a comprehensive understanding of our community’s challenges and opportunities, providing a broader knowledge of the community and their role as community trustees. In the fall of 2003, Julian graduated from the Compass Arts Academy Film School in Grand Rapids, Michigan, appearing as an actor in several short films, plays and commercials. He served as a certified trainer by the Woodrick Diversity Learning Center located in Grand Rapids, Michigan on addressing the healing of racism and the oneness of humanity.

Julian has served in ministry along side his wife for nearly 16 years. Julian and his wife, Tiffany, reside in Roseville, CA with their three beautiful daughters, named Diara (14), Kirah (12) and Raina (8). He often states, that by living in a ‘all female’ environment, he’s learned to do what he’s told, be quick in the bathroom and that he doesn’t have the fashion sensibility and awareness he thought he did. But it’s okay:…he has his leading ladies to help him.

Call it a Comeback: How To Rebuild & Restore Your Marriage

In 1990 rapper LL Cool J released a song called ‘Mama said Knock You Out’ (one of the coolest rap jams ever!). The lyrics open with, “Don’t call it a comeback, I’ve been here for years…” before launching into a forceful diatribe about explosions, competition, and knocking the opposition [...]
